Go To “The Promenade” With This Trailer For Netflix’s Newest


While many of us were studying Turkey, Netflix worked hard yesterday to promote their upcoming movie, The Prom. Inspired by the Broadway musical of the same name, Ryan Murphy’s film is hoping to be a joyful experience for audiences over the next month, and the streaming service is fueling that vibe with this trailer that hit the internet on Thanksgiving. The film includes a cast that includes James Corden, Keegan-Michael Key, Nicole Kidman, and Meryl Streep, among others. It really is a star-studded affair. The prom hits Netflix on December 11th, so it’s only two weeks left. Check out the trailer below …

As mentioned above, the film is an adaptation of the Broadway musical. Netflix describes it this way: “The prom follows Dee Dee Allen (three-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep) and Barry Glickman (Tony Award winner James Corden), New York stage stars with a crisis in their hands: their expensive new The Broadway show is a big flop that suddenly shook her career. In the small town of Indiana, the schoolgirl Emma Nolan (newcomer Jo Ellen Pellman) experiences a completely different heartbreak: Despite the support of the headmaster (Keegan-Michael Key), the head of the PTA (Kerry) Washington), she has forbidden her friend Alyssa ( Ariana DeBose) to attend the prom.
