In response, a representative from Vanessa said via ET, “My mother continues to try to find ways to blackmail our family’s financial problems. I supported her for nearly 20 years and she was never my or Kobe’s personal assistant, nor was she our nanny. I’ve always been a home mom and my husband and I were our daughter’s full-time caregivers. My husband and I thought it was best if she didn’t live in our house. ‘
“She watched our girls from time to time, as most grandparents do. She didn’t care about business matters or any expenses. She now wants to pay me back $ 96 an hour for allegedly working 12 hours a day for 18 years watching her own grandchildren, “she said in part.
Vanessa reiterated that she only “occasionally” observed her older granddaughters when they were toddlers.
