Lebron James received his Los Angeles Lakers championship ring and he took this opportunity to pay tribute to the deceased Kobe Bryant! Here’s what the basketball player had to say!
LeBron took advantage of social media to share a snapshot, and in the caption he honored his NBA star who tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash earlier this year.
His second-born daughter Gianna, who was also sitting in the helicopter with seven other people, also died. She was only 13 years old.
“What I felt last night when I took this ring out of the case. Love and miss you my brother !!!! # Mamba4Life🐍 8 • 24 ♾. 🙏🏾❤️👑 ‘wrote LeBron in his post.
As for the Los Angeles Lakers victory, the team won the NBA championship this year, more specifically in October when they beat the Miami Heat 106-90.
As for LeBron’s personal performance, this was his fourth championship overall win.
This isn’t the first time he’s paying tribute to Kobe Bryant either.
Back in September, LeBron was telling the world all about the impact Kobe had on him.
According to him, whatever he had ever done, he always thinks of Kobe’s admirable determination and dedication.
“Every time you put on purple and gold, you think about his legacy and what he meant to this franchise for over 20 years. Just this urge to always want to be victorious. It keeps you from sleeping. You sacrifice a lot, you sacrifice your family sometimes because you’re so motivated to be so great that some other things sometimes fall by the wayside, ”James said at the time.
It really seems like the two basketball players had a very special bond, and for James, who survived Bryant, that will always be the case.
