The Marvel Cinematic Universe will extend to the small screen. As you all know, the MCU has big plans for Disney + and is building its upcoming series adventures on to the next phase of big screen outings. First up, we have WandaVision, which is incredibly ambitious and is supposedly directly linked to the upcoming sequel Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Time will tell if that’s actually true, but WandaVision is an exciting next step for Marvel. It falls in less than two weeks, on January 15th, and a new, musical TV commercial has fallen. You can see the spot at the bottom of the post, as usual …
The series is a milestone for the MCU as you can imagine. The brief summary of the show goes as follows: Marvel Studios’ WandaVision is a mix of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision – two overpowering beings who lead an idealized suburban life – start to guess everything not what it seems. “Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) delve deeper into their characters, and that should be fascinating. The rest of the cast consists of Kat Dennings (replay of her MCU role from the Thor franchise), Kathryn Hahn, Fred Melamed, Randall Park (from the Ant-Man franchise), Teyonah Parris, Debra Jo Rupp, and others.
Everything I’ve seen so far suggests a really fun and pretty unique program. I’ll be watching on the 15th, that’s for sure. We’ll wait until then. In the meantime, here’s the new TV spot for WandaVision, which focuses on the original music by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Enjoy:
More information on WandaVision will be available later this month!
