Leslie Jones was Steve Kornacki’s lead cheerleader when fans flocked to Twitter to rave about the MSNBC election analyst’s coverage of the Georgia runoff results.

MSNBCs Steve KornackiThe 41-year-old returned to the Big Board during Tuesday night’s Georgia runoff results, and his coverage soon caught the attention of several Twitter users, including one of his biggest fans. Leslie Jones! The 53-year-old actress, who first raved about the political journalist during live coverage of the November 2020 presidential election, was back when she posted numerous hilarious tweets that proved her love for him hadn’t wavered. “YASSSSSSSSSS MY DEAR STEVE IS BACK !!! #KornackiThirstcontinues, “read her first tweet about Steve, which also contained a video on her TV showing his coverage.

Leslie’s second tweet about Steve, which was included among many other tweets about the election results, continued to show excitement. “Let go of Steve !!! #KornackiThirstcontinues, “she wrote before sharing a third Steve-related tweet that also revealed her fear of the results. “I’m scared but Steve is here so I’m fine !!” it read.

A fourth tweet related to Steve was, “Hey, I have a question Steve !!!” and a fifth revealed the “fun” she had while watching him in action. “So much fun to watch !! Go steve #KornackiThirstcontinues, “she enthused.

Leslie’s tweets weren’t the only ones shared about Steve. The former Saturday Night Live star was joined by a host of Twitter users, who were also delighted that Steve returned to the small screen to showcase his incredible work ethic and cover the two crucial races that the U.S. Senate will determine.

“Happy Steve Kornacki Day everyone who celebrates,” one user cheekily wrote before the results came in. “@SteveKornacki is a national treasure, ”wrote another, while a third admitted that Leslie’s love for Steve inspired her own. “Steve Kornacki looked better since I looked through him @ Lesdogggs eyes, ”read the tweet.

MSNBC’s own Rachel Maddow also shared a tweet about Steve. “It would be impossible for me to exaggerate how fun it is to watch Steve Kornacki at work on nights like this. Steve getting live voting results in his earphone while poking around on his desk computer is like a slow, happy stroke of lightning “she wrote.

Steve, who has been with MSNBC since 2013, began obsessing over two months ago when he wowed audiences with his commitment to staying on camera while America waited for a 2020 presidential winner. Before the first night started, he tweeted that he “would go to the studio and not go until we got a result,” and he wasn’t kidding. The hard-working journalist even had to take a nap on November 4th after the result was not yet clear.

“We forcibly removed him from the building … He’s in a room with pillows, blankets and warm milk,” says MSNBC Ali Velshi joked.

With the reporting on November 5th, he was right back there and impressed Leslie and other stars like Chrissy Teigen. “I honestly don’t know how Steve will die,” Chrissy tweeted comically along with a photo of herself that kept her eyes open on election night.
