Dancehall star Sean Paul’s 2003 hit “Baby Boy” with Beyonce may be one of the biggest hits, but it recently revealed that Jay-Z was not happy with the pair’s collaboration.
At the MTV Europe Music Awards 2003, the two played their hit together only once. From then on, Beyonce soloed the song – he’s finally revealed why.
“Yuh si hurt you see? You neva feel good. I neva feel good, Needa, but mi jus use my diplomacy every di, while a guh overcomes a similar obstacle when I have a life,” he said in patois.
He added, “Yes, to me it was something that was obvious at the time. We know that art is art every time you demolish Deh Gwan.”
He’s not the only artist to complain about Jay-Z’s jealousy. Recently, Bun B revealed that Jay had him and others start the set of Bey’s “Check On It” video.
