Ashley Tisdale lets go of the shame she still has about her rhinoplasty.
In a personal essay posted on her lifestyle website, Frenshe, on Thursday, Jan. 28, the high school musical star admitted she was “triggered” by a recent interview she appeared to be pretending to be almost 15 years ago was asked if she wanted to go under the knife. Back in 2007, Ashley went public with her nose job to de-stigmatize the procedure – especially when it comes to alleviating health problems like a deviated septum.
“I didn’t do it because I believe in plastic surgery,” she said at the time. “I did this to help my health. I literally could almost not breathe from the right side of my nose.”
Now, at 35 and a baby on the way, Ashley says her old wounds have been reopened.
Looking back on the “very traumatic” ordeal that she described herself, Ashley writes that she never expected such an intense public examination. “To be clear, it wasn’t about changing the way I look,” she shares, adding, “It wasn’t a big deal to me, nor was it like I was dreaming about the day I was Would get a nose job. On the other hand, I have ZERO judgment on anyone looking forward to this day – your body, your choice. “
