With the Time’s Up and Me Too movements and the ongoing struggles for equal pay and health rights for women, International Women’s Day will undoubtedly be more important than ever this year. There are many ways to support the cause, such as: B. Donate time or money to Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, or Time’s Up. and call your congressman or senator.

Another easy way to raise awareness of women’s rights is to dress appropriately. There’s no denying that Hollywood’s decision to show solidarity for Time’s Up by wearing black to the 2018 Golden Globe Awards made a very powerful statement, as did the white roses that many Grammy Awards attendees saw in wore this year. Likewise, the colors you wear – especially on International Women’s Day – undoubtedly have an unspoken meaning that is louder than words.
