Scottie Pippen Shares His Eldest Son Has Handed Away At 33: ‘Relaxation Straightforward Till We Meet Once more’
We send prayers to Scottie Pippen and his family after the retired NBA champion announced that his eldest son, Antron, passed away at the age of 33.
Scottie brought the news on Monday, saying that his son had died the day before.
“I am heartbroken to share that I said goodbye to my firstborn son Antron yesterday,” Scottie began the heartfelt message. “We both loved basketball and had a lot of conversations about the game.”
While Scottie did not reveal the cause of his son’s death, he did share that Antron suffered from chronic asthma, but despite his illness, Scottie said he was a talented basketball player.
Antron played basketball at Texas A&M International University. He also spent some time at South Georgia Technical College, which paid tribute to Antron on Monday.

“Antron had chronic asthma and if he hadn’t had it, I really think he would have made it to the NBA,” said Scottie. “He never let that get him down though – Antron stayed positive and worked hard and I’m so proud of the man he became.”
Antron was born in 1987 to Scottie and his then-wife Karen McCollum.
“Please keep his mother Karen and all of his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. A kind heart and a beautiful soul left way too early. I love you, my son, rest until we meet again. “Scottie finished the message.
We pray for the Pippen family during this difficult time.
