An Ode to Bella Hadid’s Y2K Vogue Part

0

With the exception of one signature 21st century accessory – a face mask – Bella Hadid’s wardrobe this year was one of complete setbacks. Lately she has moved from channeling Diane Keaton to a Y2K inspired phase. Look no further than her latest Instagram with a zigzag piece, an updo, a Charlotte Knowles top and a whole stack of so-called Buddha pearls. As usual, she wore a Bratz doll-style silhouette, typically in the form of a baby t-shirt or belly shirt, paired with flared jeans or baggy pants that aren’t quite JNCO-level but are nonetheless remarkable. (Among their T-shirts: Björk and Baby Phat.) Otherwise, everything revolves around the accessories: chunky sneakers, rectangular sunglasses, monogram baguette bags and newsboy hats. The only things that are really missing so far are butterfly clips, velor tracksuits and bandanas. Here’s a recap of their best early morning riffs.
