Jessica Simpson Reveals She Would not Even Personal A Scale Anymore After Years Of Physique-Shaming


The singer revealed that not only is she no longer worried about her body image, but she is also no longer afraid! Jessica Simpson talked about her relationship with her body after so many years of shame in the spotlight.

While on Today yesterday, the singer and fashion mogul told Hoda Kotb that she’s much better nowadays in terms of her confidence.

That being said, she mentioned that she actually “kicked out” her scales, which led Hoda to joke that, “They said it was like a ouija board in church, bye.”

Jessica was amused and added, “It was like a ouija board … [I have] I have no idea how much I weigh. I just want to feel good and be able to pull up my pants. If not, I’ll have a different size. I have all sizes. I really did my best not to let that happen [the public body shaming] define me. ‘

It came after her mother, Tina Simpson, also appeared on Today earlier this month, sharing her experience of raising two daughters, Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, in the spotlight.

Tina also mentioned body embarrassment and gave more insight into how she feels about it.

“It was really hard because it was obviously being judged by the world, and that was probably the most stressful thing, just the negativity of things people would say. I really taught them to be fighters. The way people judge you is amazing. Body embarrassment is such a terrible thing and no girl – or guy – should have to go through it. Period. Nobody.’

All in all, it seems Jessica Simpson managed to develop a healthy relationship with herself and have confidence in her own body, no matter how much she ends up weighing.
