Cookie cluster

ColourPop Cookie Cluster 4-Pan Cheek Pallet ($ 12.00 for 0.3 ounces) includes an off-white highlighter, a shimmering powder red, and two matte blushes: light copper, gold shimmering orange, matte orange coral, and matte pink coral. They were pretty fair in terms of pigmentation; The blush was more buildable and hard to overdo, although it does pay off to appear on the skin.

I found the texture of the blush to be very smooth and finely ground, which didn’t seem to stick as well to my arm (which is quite dry) but worked well on my face (ultimately, where I test cheek products!). .

Butterscotch

Butterscotch is a light copper with warmer undertones and a pearlescent sheen. A more buildable cover was applied with a brush and an opaque cover was applied with a fingertip as marketed. The texture felt smooth and pliable, but had the spongy feel that is typical of the formula. It was applied well to bare skin and over foundation and stayed well for 10 hours before it faded a little.

Extra sprinkles

Extra sprinkles is a lighter, light-medium orange with strong, warm undertones and a lighter, golden pearl. It had medium, buildable paint cover that was evenly applied to my cheeks and faded out well, although it didn’t stick as well to my drier arm skin. The consistency felt soft, silky, and smooth, although it was moderately powdery. It took a good eight hours before it showed signs of fading.

Formula overview

$ 8.00 / 0.13 oz. – – $ 61.54 per ounce

The formula is said to go on “smoothly” and have a “natural and healthy blush” that has “long wear” and “can be layered to the desired intensity”. It is a light to moderately powdery powder red with a semi-transparent to semi-opaque, buildable color display. The consistency feels drier and thinner, and while it feels silky, I’ve found that the type of powder blush can be difficult to evenly distribute on the skin, depending on your skin type or base preferences. The drier the skin / base, the better the formula would blend, but natural oils or slip caused an uneven blush and were difficult to fade out. The wear and tear averaged between seven and eight hours for me.

Shortbread

Shortbread is a medium-sized coral with warmer, orange undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-transparent, buildable pigmentation (to mostly opaque coverage) with a soft, somewhat powdery texture, though it felt finely ground and silky to the touch. The product was better applied to my cheeks, which are more normal to drier than my arm, which is quite dry. I didn’t notice the powderiness or issues with adhesion in the practice (on my cheeks). It carried well for eight hours before it visibly faded.

Oh gingersnap

Oh gingersnap is a lighter, medium-dark pink coral with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had medium, buildable pigmentation paired with a soft, smooth texture that was a bit powdery but didn’t appear dry or dusty on my cheeks.
