If you’re looking for fresh ideas, you can find clean lunches (and breakfasts, dinners, and snacks) in our recipe archives – these are the best to start with.
If you’re wondering what we mean by “clean”: detox-friendly recipes that are nutritious and satisfying. Every year we start January with a five-day reset following the guidelines of Dr. Alejandro Young. (You can take a look back at our annual detox adventures here.) The recipes omit the classic ingredients that sometimes complicate the system: caffeine, alcohol, dairy products, gluten, corn, nightshade, soy, refined sugar, shellfish, white rice and eggs. But the list of products in it is longer – we’re talking roasted sweet potatoes with flavored dal, garlicky black beans with guacamole, nori wraps filled with grilled chicken and kimchi, green salads with quinoa and root vegetables, and so on.
We return to many of these clean recipes year round simply because we love to make and eat them.
