Okay, we are really in our feelings when we see this.
Ubiquitous sports fan drake and his 3 year old son Adonis participated in the NBA playoff game between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center on June 3. As a token of his support for the LA team, the rapper’s little one signed on Lebron James Jersey. And while the Suns beat the Lakers at 13, we kind of feel like we’ve gained something when Drake documented the father-son outing by posting a photo of Adonis with his toy truck in tow.
And we disagree with Drake’s plan to give us a glimpse into their family life. Over the years, Drake has shared pictures of key milestones, including birthdays, holidays, and Adonis’ first day of school. And last week, Adonis took the stage with his father as the Hotline Bling star accepted the Billboard Music Awards’ Artist of the Decade award.
“I want to be able to go places with my son and share memories with my son,” Drake shared with Lil Wayne on Young Money Radio last year, sharing his strategy for balancing fame and parenting. “I don’t want to feel like just because of a life choice I made to be a ‘celebrity’ that I have to like, you know everyone is living under this blanket.”
