A new era for Bachelor Nation has dawned.
We have now officially seen the first premiere in franchise history without it Chris Harrison as hosts, and we shouldn’t be surprised that it was really wonderful – and “wonderful” is not a word we often associate with something bachelor. Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams felt like old friends on a fancy night helping their single mate Katie Thurston Swipe on Tinder IRL. They cheered her, made comments, spied through a window with popcorn in hand and gave her opinion on guys with trucks. (They like her to hold on to.)
It was so much fun and the show felt more happy than it had been in a long time. Instead of a dark undercurrent of reality TV machinations, there was fun, laughter – and a feeling that maybe everyone is here to have a good time.
Kaitlyn and Tayshia have been nominees and leads, and they both currently have happy, dedicated Bachelor Nation relationships. They are the perfect choice for starting a new trail on their own journey to find TV love and it feels like it’s a no-brainer. It just sucks to remember how we got here and that it wasn’t a breeze at all.
