During an interview with . about the shocking season three finale of ABC’s A Million Little Things, series creator / executive producer DJ Nash revealed the oversized number of episodes for season 4.
“We’re doing 20 episodes this year,” he said. “It’s the biggest season we’ve ever had.”
The series drama about a close-knit group of friends produced 17 episodes in season 1, 19 in season 2 and 18 in Covid-affected season 3.
Nash referred to the large order as a sign that ABC has confidence in the series’ long-term prospects.
“With an order for 20 episodes, it doesn’t feel like ABC wants this to be our final season,” he said.
And Nash believes the writers, directors, and cast of the show will deliver.
“There’s no question that we’ve got enough to do 20 incredible episodes this season,” said Nash.
