EXCLUSIVE: The Chi’s Cory Hardrict is slated to star in the indie thriller Die Like a Man. Eric Nazarian writes and directs the picture, which is the first part of a street trilogy that revolves around the themes of masculinity, violence and gentrification in America in the 21st century.
Hardrict portrays a recently sacked Westside gangster who returns to his old neighborhood in west LA after a decade behind bars, which has now been gentrified and redeveloped. All of his friends are dead and moved on, and his only anchor is training his best friend’s son in the unfortunate codes of manhood on the streets that wreak havoc.
Hardrict is currently featured in the latest season of Showtimes The Chi. On the movies side, he was recently featured in The Outpost and also has the Blumhouse thriller Karen.
He is represented by Buchwald.
