CDC Now Says Masks Ought to Be Worn Indoors Regardless Of Vaccination Standing—Additionally Confirms The Totally Vaccinated Can Unfold The Delta Variant
Roommate, CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky recently confirmed in an interview that even fully vaccinated people can still spread the highly contagious Delta variant of COVID-19. Their comments come shortly after the CDC lifted its mask recommendations for indoor use and is now encouraging everyone (regardless of vaccination status) to wear masks indoors at all times.
Speaking to CNN host John Berman, CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said the decision to reintroduce the Mask Directive was due to new scientific discoveries that now show that those who are fully vaccinated with the Delta variant of COVID-19 will pass the virus to those who are not.
Dr. Walensky explained her testimony, saying:
“Here is the new science that we’ve only seen in the past few days. In previous variants, when people had these rare breakthrough infections, we didn’t see the ability of them to pass the virus on to others, but with the Delta variant, we are now seeing weeks in our outbreak research that has been going on over the past couple of years We saw in these outbreak investigations that if you happen to have one of these groundbreaking infections, now you can actually pass it on to someone else.
The CDC’s new stance comes after a number of cities across the country reintroduced their previous mask mandates, including Los Angeles and Atlanta, which are seeing an alarming number of new COVID-19 cases.
