Return to work plans are rolling out across the country, and the new Monday through Friday looks different for everyone. Some people are back to full-time while others are allowed to work from home indefinitely. And still others (like us Goop employees!) Are experimenting with a hybrid model. Whichever camp you fall into, you’ll likely need a few new pieces to keep you floating through the fall – luckily, depending on the style, these sweaters can be communicative, cozy, or somewhere in between.
Firing e-mails from the couch or seeing friendly faces IRL: Both are improved by an inconspicuously cozy cotton pad. Complete with blue light glasses, shine above the waist and the bag you bought in anticipation of this moment, as needed.

Polished yet relaxed. Hardworking yet humble. Undauntedly adaptable no matter what you throw at it. We’re talking about the classic button-down sweater combination. Pair it with jeans when you go out into the world; slip into silk boxers as soon as you get home.

On days full of meetings and customer calls, this smoke-colored basic can be combined with culottes, boots and a mediocre business bag. On all other days, we love it with leggings and a low-key updo (bonus points for using the smoothest hair tie in the world).

Our long-standing obsession with La DoubleJ started with kaleidoscopic dresses and only deepened when we discovered the brand’s sweaters. Woven from the fluffiest alpaca wool of all time, this 70s style knit is the perfect addition to pleated pants, pajama shorts and whatever.

This cream-colored cardigan, which contradicts the no-white-after-day rule, is effortlessly chic buttoned over a slip dress (we are part of this G. label) or worn open with a tank top and shorts (leather, loungy – you do what feels right).
