Kodak Black is seeking permission from a Florida judge to leave the state as he is on parole because his doctors believe it would benefit him to spend the last 30 days of his treatment in a facility outside of Florida.
Kodak’s doctor and treatment specialist believes he would benefit from a program outside of Florida, although the location and details were not disclosed for security reasons, according to new legal documents received from TMZ.
Kodak’s team says its doctors believe Kodak has a better chance of success with treatment in a different setting for a period of time.
The request comes just days after Kodak made some very alarming tweets that made yak fans worried about his mental health. He mentioned that he was sad and depressed and had problems with women and fame.
Since the outbreak, Kodak deleted all of its social media accounts and left a couple of tweets that said, “Crying in my room feels like killing myself.”
In its petition to the court, Kodak’s legal team is now asking for permission to be admitted to an out-of-state inpatient treatment facility for the last 30 days of its court-ordered residential program.
Kodak’s attorney Bradford Cohen tells TMZ they’d love to relocate Kodak to another state if and if parole agrees. Cohen declined to comment on Kodak’s failed drug test and the tweets he made.
Kodak violated the terms of his supervised release in its state arms case by failing a drug test and was referred for treatment.
The judge has yet to rule on Kodak’s motion. We’ll keep you up to date.
